Olumide Oyetan is the Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited bringing extensive experience from key leadership positions within Stanbic IBTC and Standard Bank Group, both in Nigeria and internationally.
He began his career with Stanbic IBTC in 2000. In 2007, he served as Acting Head of Investment Management at Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited, where he was responsible for overseeing diverse investment strategies and portfolios. He subsequently joined Stanbic IBTC Asset Management, where he initially held the position of Executive Director responsible for Investment Management. He later served as Chief Executive from 2009 to 2015, during which he was instrumental in the growth and development of the asset management business.
Following his tenure in Nigeria, Olumide moved to South Africa, where he led the Advisory Products unit within Standard Bank Wealth and Investment business.
He was then appointed Head of Special Projects for Standard Bank Wealth, Africa Regions - a position he held until his return to Nigeria in 2019, when he was appointed Executive Director, Investments, at Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited.
In addition to his corporate roles, Olumide served as President of the Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria (PenOp) from 2022 to 2024. PenOp is an independent, self-regulatory, non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit organization committed to promoting best practices within the Nigerian pension industry.
He holds a Master of Science in Financial and Commercial Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
