Abayomi Adebayo is the Head, Internal Audit, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited. He would be responsible for managing internal audit function and continuous assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management and control processes in place to mitigate risks in Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers.

Abayomi was previously the Head, Personal and Private Banking (PPB) Audit in Internal Audit department of Stanbic IBTC Bank. Prior to his appointment as Head, PPB Audit, he was an Audit Manager with Stanbic IBTC Holdings, Lead Auditor for Stanbic IBTC Bank, and acting Head of Audit for Corporate Functions and Stanbic IBTC Holdings. Prior to joining Stanbic IBTC, he worked at First City Monument Bank (FCMB) for six years. In these roles, Abayomi ensured timely execution of audit assessments which identified fraud, unmitigated risks and significant control lapses, and for which improvements were agreed and tracked to resolution.

Abayomi holds a first degree in Accounting from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin. He also holds an MSc. in International Corporate Finance (with Distinction) from the University of Salford, Manchester. He is a Fellow, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), Member, Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
