Adeola is a legal professional with over 18 years of advisory experience within the financial services sector. Her expertise covers asset management, insurance, retail banking, trust and agency services, infrastructure project finance, and pension fund administration.
She began her career at Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers as a Legal Officer and Governance Consultant in 2007. Her role evolved to include providing legal counsel to the Wealth Group, and she later advanced to Senior Legal Advisor for the Consumer & High Net Worth segment and, subsequently, for Private & Personal Banking, Insurance & Asset Management segments. Prior to her recent appointment, Adeola served as the Head of Legal for Private & Personal Banking, Insurance and Asset Management at Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC. In this role, she was responsible for developing legal risk management strategies and providing primary legal counsel for these key business segments. Before joining Stanbic IBTC, she began her legal career as a State Counsel at the Lagos State Ministry of Justice.
Adeola holds a Master of Business Administration from Business School Netherlands, a Bachelor of Law (LL. B.) from Olabisi Onabanjo University, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2005. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK, and a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN).
