Ms. Yewande Sadiku has over 30 years of extensive experience in investment banking and public service. Currently, she serves as the Head of Investment Banking, International at Standard Bank Group, where she is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of the Bank's investment banking business outside Africa.
Ms. Sadiku served as the Executive Secretary and CEO of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) from 2016 to 2021. Prior to her public service role, she spent 23 years with Stanbic IBTC Group, rising to the role of Executive Director for Corporate and Investment Banking, where she led multi-disciplinary teams and managed key relationships with regulators and leading corporate clients in Nigeria's intricate market landscape.
She currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Golden Penny Foods Limited and was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Investors’ Protection Fund of the Nigerian Exchange Limited. Ms. Sadiku served for twelve years as the Chair of the Rules and Compliance Sub-Committee for the Securities and Exchange Commission's Capital Markets Committee. She is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and an Eisenhower Fellow for International Leadership. Ms. Sadiku holds an MBA from Warwick Business School and a BSc in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Benin.
