Godwin Akpong is Head, Human Capital & Administration Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited. Godwin has over 18 years’ experience in Talent Development, People Management and Business Operations. He joined Stanbic IBTC in December 2005 and has worked in various roles within Stanbic IBTC, a testament to the career opportunities, Stanbic IBTC provides. 

Prior to this appointment, he was Head Learning and Development Stanbic IBTC Holdings, he also served as Vice President People & Culture for Stanbic IBTC Financial Services (ZEST). Before this, he was Head Learning & Development for Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers and had also held several other roles within Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Calabar and Master’s in Business Administration from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). He is a certified trainer from TRIDECO South Africa and holds a certificate in Designing Learning from the Association of Talent Development (ATD) USA. Godwin has also attended several local and international learning courses including Harvard Executive Education Africa Programme (Harvard USA), Association of Talent Development Training Programme (Orlando USA), Investment Funds Operation and Effective Trusteeship by Euromoney (London UK).
